The double life of Jerotich Sei as Oduk’s late-night revelations shake Kenya’s activist scene

Date:

Oduk has been vocal about exposing the hypocrisy of so-called activists, and his latest revelations shed light on the contradictions of Jerotich Sei, Hanifa, and Shad.

He narrates a night filled with encounters that reveal the double standards of these individuals especially Jerotich Sei and Hanifa who claim to be defenders of justice but engage in questionable activities behind the scenes.

The conversation starts with an admission that he had been with @Honeyfarsafi earlier during protests. However, his inability to hide his true feelings leads him to confess that he dislikes her. Surprisingly, she responds by saying she doesn’t like her either, yet when they met, the same person was all over her.

This kind of two-faced behavior is not unusual in activist circles, where public unity is often a facade hiding deep-seated personal conflicts. As the night progresses, they hop into her Pajero and head to K1. The drinks start flowing, and Oduk sticks to Heineken, making it clear that he considers himself above the crowd.

Before anyone calls him a snitch, he justifies his decision to expose this hypocrisy. He has been falsely accused of being a government informant and subjected to bizarre rumors, including allegations about his past.

However, he and Ndemi babe are aware of secrets that others would rather keep buried. K1 turns into a night of reggae and fun until 4 a.m. At some point, while at Gecko, she had sent him 2k for a cab, but he never used it. Instead, when the night ended, she simply decided to drop him home.

They even took photos at K1, ensuring that no one could later deny their presence there. By the time morning arrived, it was already August 9, 2024. Drunkenness takes over, and he almost moves on autopilot, yet he still remembers enough to note when things got weird. If he had been fully on autopilot, he wouldn’t have noticed the shift.

The hypocrisy of Jerotich Sei, Oeba, and their so-called Defenders Coalition continues to bother him, as their leader remains silent despite their false accusations.

This silence from their matron is telling, especially when compared to others like Joy Murraya, who engage in their own escapades but don’t pretend to be champions of morality.

Unlike Joy and her Toyota Vitz misadventures, they were in a Pajero, a fact he highlights with a touch of sarcasm. This entire experience reveals the contradictions within activist circles, where personal interests often override the causes they claim to fight for.

The selective outrage, hidden alliances, and outright deceit among these so-called defenders expose the movement as less about justice and more about personal gain.
