How Kipchumba Murkomen tried to bribe his way out of protests with ksh 500,000

Date:

Kipchumba Murkomen has once again been exposed for his involvement in a scandal that paints a clear picture of how deep corruption runs within the government.

According to the Kenyan Post, Murkomen was caught trying to bribe a popular social media influencer with Ksh 500,000 in a desperate attempt to stop the ongoing protests at the time. The influencer, who has a large following, was approached with an offer to help convince young people to abandon the demonstrations.

However, instead of taking the money, the influencer exposed Murkomen by sharing a screenshot of the message, revealing how the government was pouring money into silencing public dissent rather than addressing the real issues affecting Kenyans.

This incident raised serious concerns about how much public money was being used to manipulate the masses. Instead of responding to the grievances of the people, the government, through Murkomen, resorted to bribing those with influence to push propaganda.

The Kenyan Post exposed how some influencers had already accepted these bribes, proving that the state was actively working to mislead the public.

This scandal only added to the growing list of accusations against Murkomen, whose sudden rise to wealth has always been questioned. While Kenyans continued to struggle with high living costs,

Murkomen was busy using state resources to protect the government’s image instead of fixing the real problems.

The bribery scandal was not the first time Murkomen had been accused of shady dealings. From the time he was a senator, he had been linked to questionable financial activities, with many wondering how he quickly transitioned from a simple lawyer to a man living a lavish lifestyle.

Expensive suits, luxury cars, and high-end properties became part of his identity, yet he never gave a clear explanation of how he accumulated such wealth.

His involvement in the bribery scandal confirmed what many had suspected that he was willing to do anything to maintain power and protect those in government.

The exposure of Murkomen’s actions by the Kenyan Post also revealed how the government was willing to go to great lengths to suppress opposition.

Instead of addressing public concerns, leaders resorted to bribery, intimidation, and propaganda to shift the narrative. This kind of behavior showed how little regard they had for the struggles of ordinary Kenyans.

The protests that Murkomen was trying to silence were a result of real frustrations, including high taxation, unemployment, and rising cost of living, yet instead of providing solutions, he attempted to use money to buy silence.

His actions also exposed the hypocrisy of government officials who once pretended to fight for democracy and transparency. When Murkomen was in the opposition, he loudly criticized state corruption and misuse of resources.

However, once he got into government, he became part of the very system he once condemned. The bribery attempt was just one example of how he had abandoned the principles he used to preach.

His loyalty was no longer to the people but to those in power, and he was willing to do whatever it took to protect them, even if it meant using taxpayers’ money to push false narratives.

While citizens struggled with high fuel prices, job losses, and economic hardships, the government was spending millions on online propaganda.

Murkomen’s involvement in the bribery attempt only cemented his reputation as a politician who had lost touch with the people.

From his luxurious lifestyle to his shady dealings, it is clear that his focus is no longer on serving Kenyans but on securing his own interests.

His downfall, like many before him, would come from the very arrogance that made him believe he could manipulate the masses without consequences.
