“Stop playing with Kenyans’ minds for selfish interests and greed” Kagiri warns Justin Muturi

Date:

Nyeri Woman Representative Rahab Mukami Kagiri has come out strongly against former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi following his recent remarks criticizing President William Ruto’s leadership.

Kagiri expressed disappointment in Muturi’s change of tone, saying his comments are not genuine but driven by political interests. According to her, Muturi is only attacking the president because he is no longer in government, suggesting that his shift in position is not based on principle but on personal frustration after losing his Cabinet role.

Kagiri reminded Kenyans that not long ago, Justin Muturi publicly praised President Ruto, describing him as the most capable leader who could help the country achieve its development goals.

She questioned how someone who once showed full confidence in Ruto could suddenly claim the president is failing. To her, this inconsistency makes Muturi appear unreliable and untrustworthy.

She warned that leaders who change their positions so quickly and without clear reason only confuse the public and damage the credibility of politics in the country.

She went further to accuse Muturi of playing cheap politics, saying he was only looking for sympathy and a new political space after falling out with the administration. Kagiri said that when leaders speak out of bitterness or personal disappointment, their message loses value and instead becomes a tool for political propaganda.

She cautioned the public to be careful not to be misled by those who change their views to suit their own needs rather than the good of the country.Kagiri’s comments come as many Kenyans continue to observe the growing tensions within President Ruto’s political circle.

Muturi’s remarks have sparked conversations about possible rifts within the ruling coalition and the motives of those who are now publicly expressing dissatisfaction.

The situation is slowly exposing the cracks among former allies as the political landscape begins to shift in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

By calling out Muturi, Kagiri is making it clear that loyalty and consistency in leadership are more important than short-term political survival. She urged all leaders, especially those who once served in government, to remain principled and avoid misleading citizens for personal gain.

She said the country needs leaders who can stand firm in both good and bad times, not those who only speak up when things do not go their way. Her message was a reminder that true leadership is about serving the people and not using politics as a tool for revenge or attention-seeking.
