Okiya Omtata hints about forming coalitions with Matiang’i, Gachagua and Maraga

Date:

Presidential aspirant Okiya Omtatah has finally spoken out about forming coalitions with other opposition candidates as the 2027 presidential elections approach. In a video message shared on his official social media accounts, Omtatah expressed his views on the idea of coalitions and what they should mean for the country.

Omtatah said that forming coalitions is not just about joining forces to win an election. Instead, it is about creating something that can bring real and visible change to Kenya. He emphasized that coalitions should focus on delivering results that improve the lives of ordinary people, not just on political victories.

For him, the goal is to bring true transformation, not just power. He explained that a coalition will only work well if it brings together people who share the same ideas and goals. Omtatah warned that before anyone joins a coalition, there must be careful checking of the people involved.

This means looking closely at the past actions and records of the candidates who want to form alliances. He believes this is important to avoid partnerships that are only based on convenience or political gain without shared values.

Omtatah mentioned several key political figures, including Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Fred Matiang’i, and Maraga, saying that everyone should be examined carefully before deciding whether they can be part of any coalition.

The past records of these individuals should be reviewed to understand what they stand for and what they have done. This will help determine if they are truly capable of contributing to the future of the country.

He also made it clear that if he finds someone with the same vision and a proven record of commitment to Kenya’s development, he would gladly join forces with that person. In fact, he said he would even support their presidential bid if their agenda matches his own.

This may shows that Omtatah values shared principles over personal ambition and is ready to unite with others only when there is a strong alignment of goals.

His message ends with a call for serious and honest questioning before any coalition talks begin.

“Before we call for coalitions, let us do thorough interrogation.” He said.

This means that politicians should take time to examine each other’s histories and intentions carefully to ensure that any coalition formed will truly serve the people and not just politicians’ interests.

This approach suggests that for Kenya to move forward, those seeking leadership must be honest about their past and committed to real change, which we all agree with.

His is message may influence how opposition candidates think about alliances and teamwork in the race for the presidency.

In my own view Kenya needs fresh and new leadership not the same familiar faces now and then, what do you think? Give us your opinions on the same.
