Notorious Lawyer Spencer Elms linked to fake documents in prime Beachfront land dispute

Date:

Guy Spencer Elms has built a reputation not as a defender of justice but as a man always surrounded by ugly land scandals. His name has once again appeared in a fierce court battle over the estate of the late billionaire Pritam Singh Panesar, where accusations of forgery and fraud are dominating the story.

Elms, together with businessman Nileshkumar Shah, claims to be an executor of Panesar’s will, yet evidence before investigators shows the document they are holding cannot be trusted. Forensic experts have already said the signature on the contested will does not match Panesar’s known writing.

DCI examiner Alex Mwongera compared the signature to Panesar’s national ID and reported that the two were completely different in style, speed, and pen movement.

Another independent document examiner, Emmanuel Karisa Kenga, checked the signature against nine authentic papers signed by Panesar and confirmed there was a glaring mismatch.

The case shows how far Elms appears willing to go to benefit from the death of wealthy men with property. It is not the first time his name has been linked to such matters.

Only recently the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions dropped a long-running forgery case that accused him of faking the will of another tycoon, Roger Bryan Robson, in order to claim a Karen property worth more than Sh100 million.

That case had dragged in court for nearly a decade, only to end without clear answers, leaving behind a bitter taste and serious questions about how a lawyer could walk free after such serious allegations.

The Kwale beachfront land dispute adds even more damning details. A man named Henry Philip Nyabuto swore an affidavit admitting that he was recruited to create a fake Green Card, a land registry document, to help facilitate the takeover of Panesar’s 53-acre estate.

Nyabuto named a retired police officer, Wilson Gichuhi, as the person who approached him on behalf of Elms.

To prove his claim, Nyabuto attached an M-Pesa statement showing he had been paid Sh10,000 on January 21, 2022, from a number linked to Gichuhi.

This points directly to a coordinated attempt to tamper with official records and push through an illegitimate claim.

What makes this case even more striking is that in 2022, the Environment and Land Court in Kwale had already ruled that the land belonged to three men through adverse possession.

These men, Mohammed Ruwa Maridadi, Anthony Michael Mwanza Mulwa, and Ahmed Ouma Randa had occupied the property for over twelve years, built homes, dug boreholes, and planted trees, clearly showing their ownership.

But Elms and Shah appealed the ruling, claiming that as executors of Panesar’s estate, they hold the rightful authority.

This move shows the ruthless determination to dislodge ordinary occupants and hold onto a will that experts believe was forged.

The pattern is too consistent to ignore. Elms keeps appearing in cases where the dead cannot defend themselves and vast properties are left vulnerable.

Each time, questions of forged documents, false claims, and shady dealings arise. Instead of protecting the law, Elms seems to be bending it to serve his own interest.

For a man in the legal profession, such conduct paints him not as an officer of justice but as a notorious figure who uses his skills to manipulate the very system he is meant to uphold.

This ongoing battle over Panesar’s land shows how easily the system can be twisted by a lawyer determined to enrich himself. It is a reminder of how greed poisons justice, leaving families, communities, and rightful owners caught in endless court cases.

With so much evidence pointing to fraud, many now see Elms as a man who thrives on exploiting the estates of the dead. His name has become linked more to scandal than to justice, and this Kwale case may finally expose him for what he really is a notorious lawyer accused of turning death into his business.
