Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has denied reports of a split in President William Ruto’s administration.
The DP called on Kenyans to join with the President in the New Year 2025 to propel the country ahead.
Kindiki stated on Saturday, during the wedding ceremony of Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano’s son Peter and his fiancée Wambui, that he had been granted some time off and was on vacation.
“I’m left with a few hours, my holiday is coming to an end and therefore I need to enjoy whatever is left,” Kindiki said.
“Ignore everything else completely. Just ignore everything else. Don’t fall into the trap of triviality and small issues. We have a business.
The President allowed me a few days off.”
“I feel so energized and I believe that this is the year that all of us will rally support the President and take Kenya to the next level.”
The event was attended by family, friends, and dignitaries such as Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries.
Recently, the DP shared on his social media platforms about the Kenya Kwanza government’s plans for 2025.
Kindiki stated that the government will prioritize five major areas in the implementation of the government’s bottom-up development program 2022-2027 as its priorities for 2025.
“The last weekend of the festive season offers the opportunity to get set for a critical year in the implementation of The Plan, 2022-2027,” Kindiki said in a statement on his X account.
The president’s principal assistant stated that as Kenyans close the long period of festivities and begin nation-building, they should be aware of the government’s agenda for 2025.
The administration will focus on five areas, including maintaining macroeconomic stability and empowering individuals through job creation and income opportunities.
Speaking at the Saturday event, Kindiki stated that Kenya is a blessed country and that citizens should strive to form strong families in pursuit of both the hardware and software that support successful societies.
He went on to say that improving economic infrastructure like roads, power, and internet access, improving social amenities like schools and health facilities, and pursuing better earnings comprise the hardware of nation-building.
“For our all-round prosperity, we require to supplement this crucial national hardware with the software of positive social values, love for one another and our country, stronger families and inter-generational solidarity,” he said.
