“Give me just a year please” Treasury CS John Mbadi pleads with middle class Kenyans

Date:

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has assured Kenyans that their financial well-being will improve within a year under his leadership.

Speaking about the urgent need for reforms, Mbadi promised changes in the tax system and an increase in disposable income, especially for the middle class.

His assurance comes as many citizens express concerns over high taxes and the rising cost of living.

Mbadi pointed out that the current tax system places too much pressure on the middle class.

Many people feel financially strained because of the high taxes they have to pay.

According to Mbadi, his job is to ensure that the tax system becomes fairer and more efficient.

This, he believes, will help Kenyans feel a real difference in their incomes.

The CS shared his confidence by referring to past successes in the Ministry of Agriculture. Reforms in the sugar sector helped revive the industry and brought relief to farmers and stakeholders.

He believes similar results can be achieved in the financial sector with the right policies. “We have seen how better policy implementation reformed the sugar sector.

Now, I am committed to ensuring that the policies we implement in the Treasury will put more money in the pockets of wananchi,” Mbadi said.

He also emphasized the importance of trust and patience. His team will need time to implement these changes, and he urged citizens to be patient.

“Give me one year, and I’ll make sure there are changes in the tax system to ensure Kenyans have more money in their pockets,” he promised.

Mbadi’s pledge to reform the system comes at a time when Kenyans are looking for economic relief.

Many have been struggling due to high taxes and increasing living expenses.

The middle class, in particular, feels the burden the most.

They often face challenges in meeting daily expenses while still contributing a large portion of their income to taxes.

The CS believes that comprehensive reforms will ease this financial pressure.

His focus is not only on revising taxes but also ensuring that the government implements policies that lead to economic growth.

With better systems in place, he hopes to see businesses thrive, jobs increase, and overall economic stability for the country.

Mbadi’s words bring hope to many Kenyans who are eager for change.

The next year will be crucial as his team works to deliver on these promises.
