From Builder To Thief: Eng. Dominic Kundu’s Corruption Leaves Road Workers In Despair

Date:

Eng. Dominic Kundu, once trusted with the responsibility of managing the RWC 318 (ODDA-BUTE-DANABA) road project in Marsabit, has now become the center of a corruption scandal that has left hardworking road workers without their pay.

Despite the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) sending Ksh 7.02 million last week specifically to settle overdue wages and house allowances for the workers, Kundu has chosen to pocket the money, leaving those who labored under harsh conditions in misery.

The workers, who toiled tirelessly on the project back in 2019 and 2020, have been waiting for their salaries for months.

They are now speaking out, accusing Kundu of turning a blind eye to their desperate pleas and refusing to release the money that was rightfully theirs.

Instead of using his position to help the workers, Kundu has shamelessly withheld the funds meant to ease their financial struggles.

Eng. Kundu, entrusted with overseeing the project and ensuring the workers were paid for their hard work, has not only failed in his duty but has also become a financial dictator.

By withholding the Ksh 7.02 million, Kundu has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability, exploiting his position for personal gain.

The workers, many of whom have not been paid for years, are now left in a state of shock and anger.

They have sacrificed their time and effort to build infrastructure that was supposed to improve the region, yet they are being denied the fruits of their labor.

Kundu’s actions reflect an appalling disregard for the wellbeing of those who trusted him.

He is a symbol of greed and corruption, using his power to enrich himself at the expense of others.

This kind of behavior is not only unethical but illegal.

The Ksh 7.02 million is not Kundu’s personal property; it was sent by KeRRA to ensure that those who worked on the road project were compensated.

Instead, Kundu’s refusal to release the funds has caused unnecessary hardship for the workers, who are now struggling to meet their basic needs.

Kundu’s actions have cast a dark shadow over the road project and over his career.
