fly748.com reports increased bookings on Nairobi to Mombasa and Ukunda/Diani routes during school break

Date:

More Kenyan families are choosing to fly to the Coast during the August school holidays, with fly748.com reporting strong demand for its Nairobi to Mombasa and Nairobi to Ukunda/Diani flights.

The airline said the increase in bookings reflects a growing preference for convenient and affordable domestic travel as families take advantage of the school break to visit Kenya’s coastal destinations.

According to fly748.com, competitive fares, shorter travel times and increased interest in local tourism have contributed to the higher demand. To make travel more affordable at the beginning of the holiday season, the airline also introduced a limited 10 per cent discount on one-way fares during the week schools closed.

The offer benefited families, students and other leisure travellers planning holiday trips.

fly748.com Head of Scheduled Services George Oduor said air travel is becoming more accessible to many Kenyan families.

“We are seeing more Kenyan families choosing to fly during the school holidays because air travel has become more accessible. What was once considered a luxury is increasingly becoming a practical option for family travel,” he said.

Oduor added that flying allows families to spend less time on the road and more time enjoying their holidays. He said the airline’s flights to both Mombasa and Ukunda/Diani give travellers more flexibility when planning trips to the Coast.

“By connecting Nairobi with both Mombasa and Ukunda/Diani, we are giving travellers greater choice in how they access the Coast. Our aim is to remove cost and convenience barriers so that more Kenyans can explore their own country,” he said.

He also noted that the increase in domestic travel supports hotels, restaurants, tour operators, transport providers and other businesses that rely on tourism.

According to Oduor, every additional passenger travelling to the Coast contributes to the local economy and helps support livelihoods in the tourism sector.

He encouraged travellers planning to fly during the August school holidays to book early, especially for peak travel dates, to secure seats and better fares.

fly748.com operates scheduled passenger services from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Terminal 2 to Mombasa and Ukunda/Diani, with a focus on providing safe, reliable and convenient travel.
