Diana Kavesa and two others under scrutiny over alleged blackmail linked to Nick Imudia’s death

Date:

The pressure surrounding the final days of former d.light Group CEO Nick Imudia has placed Diana Kavesa, Melody Midewa, and Diana’s mother at the center of serious allegations involving blackmail, threats, and repeated financial demands that investigators believe may have contributed to his death.

The three women are accused of creating a long period of emotional and financial pressure that reportedly left Nick exhausted, isolated, and unable to cope.

According to details that emerged from the NTV Murder Tapes investigation, Diana Kavesa had worked closely with Nick as his personal assistant before their relationship became romantic.

What reportedly began as a private relationship later turned into a source of constant conflict and fear for the businessman.

Investigators and family members claim Diana secretly recorded intimate moments and later used the material to pressure Nick into giving in to her demands.

After Diana became pregnant, the situation reportedly became more intense. She allegedly threatened to expose private conversations, recordings, and details of their relationship to Nick’s wife and senior company officials if he failed to comply with her requests.

Nick is said to have paid money several times in an attempt to stop the threats and protect both his family and professional reputation.

Even after the company moved Diana to another department following maternity leave, the alleged pressure did not end.

The investigation claims Diana later demanded a major salary increase and a promotion within the company. Discussions then reportedly shifted toward signing a non-disclosure agreement.

At one point, she allegedly demanded Ksh50 million before eventually settling for Ksh8.5 million together with financial support for the child.

Despite the agreement, messages recovered from Nick’s devices allegedly showed that the threats and demands continued afterward.

Melody Midewa later entered the matter as someone who initially appeared willing to help calm the situation. She reportedly presented herself as a friend who understood Nick’s frustration and even criticized Diana’s actions in earlier conversations.

Nick allegedly tried to help Melody find better work opportunities after she complained about financial struggles. However, investigators claim the relationship later changed dramatically.

According to the allegations, Melody eventually accused Nick of sexual harassment and demanded Ksh3 million to remain silent.

Reports indicate Nick paid her Ksh700,000 while trying to avoid further public scandal. Family members say recovered WhatsApp messages show Melody became actively involved in increasing the pressure on him instead of resolving the conflict.

Diana’s mother is also accused of participating in the campaign of demands and threats. Investigators claim she joined conversations that added more pressure on Nick through repeated messages and requests.

The constant communication allegedly created a situation where Nick felt trapped with no clear way out. In some of the recovered messages, Nick reportedly expressed confusion, frustration, and emotional exhaustion over what was happening around him.

The situation reportedly reached a breaking point after details about the affair, pregnancy, and payments became known to Nick’s wife and some colleagues.

Reports suggest Melody was among those who informed people close to Nick about the matter. The revelations reportedly caused severe strain within his family and contributed to the collapse of his marriage of nearly two decades.

One message reportedly sent by Nick shortly before his death simply read, “You won.” Investigators and family members believe the statement reflected the emotional state he was in after months of pressure and fear over losing his career, reputation, and family.

Nick later died after jumping from the seventh floor of his apartment building in Nairobi. His death shocked many people in the business community because he was widely known as a successful executive with experience in major companies across Africa.

Despite his achievements and professional status, those close to him say the emotional toll of the alleged blackmail became overwhelming.

Family members have since relied heavily on WhatsApp chats, phone records, and digital evidence recovered from Nick’s devices. They believe the material clearly shows a pattern of calculated pressure and extortion involving the three women.

Lawyers connected to the matter have argued that some recordings and messages appeared designed for blackmail from the beginning.

However, the DCI has reportedly stated that some of the available evidence may still fall short of the full legal threshold required for criminal charges at this stage.

The case continues to attract public attention because many people see it as a painful example of how emotional manipulation, threats, and fear can destroy a person’s mental stability over time.
