The video shows Biketi being chauffeured in a high-end fuel guzzler, accompanied by an armed bodyguard, a privilege reserved for top government officials. At one point, the vehicle stops to pick up another female companion before they proceed to a luxurious city restaurant, further raising questions about the misuse of state resources for personal indulgence.
The video has sparked outrage, with many questioning how Oparanya, who is already under investigation for corruption during his tenure as Kakamega Governor, can afford to sustain such a lifestyle for his alleged mistresses.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has been investigating Oparanya over the alleged misappropriation of Ksh. 1.3 billion, with reports indicating that public funds were funneled to proxies and personal associates.
