A Big Gap at the Top
The poll results show a clear difference between the leading candidate and the rest of the field. With 49.5 percent support, Seth Okute is close to the halfway mark and enjoys a strong advantage over his competitors.
Felix Obuya, who is in second place with 19.5 percent, trails the leader by a wide margin. Sam Ogutu’s 9.8 percent support places him third, while the remaining candidates are all below six percent.
The figures suggest that Okute currently has a stronger connection with respondents than the other candidates. However, with the election still some time away, there is room for changes in voter opinion.
What the Poll Means for Candidates
The findings provide useful information for all candidates in the race. For Okute, the results offer encouragement and show that he currently has strong backing among those who participated in the survey.
For Felix Obuya and Sam Ogutu, the poll highlights the need to increase their engagement with voters if they hope to close the gap. The other candidates also face the challenge of building more visibility and attracting greater support.
Candidates are expected to focus on issues affecting residents and work to strengthen their presence across the constituency.
Limits of an Online Poll
Although the survey provides insight into current public opinion, it is important to understand its limitations. The poll was conducted online, meaning only people with internet access were able to take part.
In addition, participation was voluntary, meaning respondents chose whether or not to join the survey. Because of this, the results may not fully represent the views of all registered voters in Karachuonyo.
Even so, the large lead recorded by Seth Okute makes the poll an important indicator of how some voters currently view the race.
