INJECT Party aligns with opposition leaders in battle against Ruto’s 2027 bid

Date:

Political activist Kebaso Morara has officially declared that his newly formed political party, Injection of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT), has joined the opposition coalition.

In a statement released on Wednesday morning, Morara emphasized that young people should focus on providing solutions rather than merely complaining about the challenges facing the country. He believes this move will allow them to push for good governance and ensure accountability in leadership.

Morara stated that INJECT’s main role within the opposition will be to promote justice and create opportunities for young people. He made it clear that his party will not engage in endless blame games but will work towards meaningful change.

According to him, young people must take an active role in shaping the future by demanding integrity and better leadership. He added that INJECT’s entry into the opposition was a step towards ensuring that governance principles are respected and upheld at all levels.

He further stated that Generation Z, who form the majority of his party, are now officially part of the opposition. He expressed confidence that it would not take long before they take over leadership in the country. Morara encouraged his supporters to walk into the political space with confidence, ready to bring real transformation.

As their leader, he promised to set a good example by maintaining high ethical standards and demonstrating integrity in his leadership. His announcement comes shortly after he was seen attending events with key opposition figures. He was first spotted at the relaunch of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), which was previously known as Narc Kenya.

Later, he was seen in a private conversation with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. On Tuesday, he joined opposition lawmakers in a meeting focused on building a strong coalition to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 elections. Among those present were Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, Jimmy Wanjigi, and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka. The Inject Party was established in September 2024 in response to the widespread anti-government protests led by Generation Z.

Morara was one of the most vocal figures during these demonstrations, and many saw him as a key leader of the movement. However, the party has yet to be officially registered with the Registrar of Political Parties. Despite this, Morara remains determined to push forward with his political ambitions, positioning INJECT as a serious force within the opposition. With his growing influence, Morara’s next steps will be closely watched.

His association with opposition heavyweights suggests that he is positioning himself strategically for a larger role in national politics.
