Hon Caleb Hamisi calls out Haji and Mudavadi for misleading the Nation

Date:

The National Intelligence Service (NIS) is an institution tasked with safeguarding Kenya’s sovereignty and ensuring the country achieves its strategic goals.

Hon. Caleb Hamisi has been vocal about this failure, arguing that both Haji and Musalia Mudavadi should have resigned for misleading the nation and causing unnecessary embarrassment.

The campaign was built on false confidence, and Kenya’s reputation suffered on an international stage. If the intelligence service cannot provide reliable information for such a critical event, it raises serious questions about its overall competence and what else it might be failing to do.

Hon. Caleb Hamisi has expressed strong concerns about Haji’s ability to lead the NIS. He points to Haji’s track record, which is marred by mistakes that are too glaring to ignore. During his tenure as the Director of Public Prosecutions, Haji faced accusations of making decisions based on political motives rather than justice.

Many cases were dropped under his watch, and some were seen as targeted prosecutions. Now, as the head of NIS, Haji has failed again. The AUC campaign was supposed to be a well-coordinated effort, but it turned into a disaster.

Instead of being honest about Raila Odinga’s chances, Haji and Mudavadi created a false narrative of guaranteed victory. This kind of deception is harmful because it makes Kenya appear weak and unprepared on the global stage.

Hon. Hamisi believes that leaders who mislead the public and fail to deliver results should be held accountable. If Kenya is to move forward, individuals like Haji and Mudavadi should step aside and allow more competent leaders to take charge.

Francis Gaitho has also criticized Noordin Haji, stating that he is unfit to lead the NIS. Gaitho has accused Haji of being involved in illegal activities, including operating secret detention sites where individuals are held without trial and he’s the cause in the recent extrajudicial killings.

Gaitho has also questioned Haji’s priorities, pointing out that he was in Addis Ababa during the AUC campaign instead of focusing on his intelligence duties.

This lack of focus and poor leadership has had a negative impact on the entire intelligence system. When the head of such a critical institution is not dedicated to his responsibilities, the consequences are far-reaching.

The NIS is meant to protect the country, but under Haji’s leadership, it seems to be failing in its core mandate.

Musalia Mudavadi, as the Prime Cabinet Secretary, was also deeply involved in the AUC campaign. He led Kenya’s diplomatic efforts but failed to secure a win. Instead of being realistic about the challenges, he promoted a false narrative that victory was assured.
